HOT DOG DIARY - NATHAN TOLZMANN
Our friend Nathan went on a bike trip 20+ yrs ago (when he was 29) across the U.S. and just completed his epic (and beautiful) graphic novel chronicling that journey he and his buddy, Matt, made. Visit his site here to experience it and word on the street is to check it out before the publishers chop-out-all-the-good-parts ;)
Proposed Lego Build Kits
These may just be proposed, but are so specific.
Note: I received my 2nd Moderna shot today.
3D Printed Clay House (TECLA) - near Bologna, Italy
Somewhat mimicing a mud dauber wasp home, TECLA (technology and clay) is a nearly zero-waste project using recyclable & reusable materials (clay). This building and landscaping was designed for people and loved ones coping with cancer. The optimism from the abundance of life in and around this space seems like a win win. More here.
Country Music - Ken Burns PBS Documentary
We just started watching this and as always Ken Burns masterfully strips away the layers to reveal the essence and details of the American experiment. Highly recommend.
And, Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it.
Treehouses
Several years ago, I was talking with a carpenter at a party about treehouses. He shared that when he was a teen, he and his friends built one about 60ft high - this made his dad slightly uncomfortable so he supplied the kids with a bunch of netting to secure below as a precaution. The kids set it up about 15ft from the base of the tree and spent the summer jumping into it….from the treehouse.

Emily got J&J vaccine
Only took 25mins. and 15 of that was waiting to see if there were any immediate side effects (and luckily, there were none).
Sanborn Camps - Florissant CO
Lots of fantastic memories.
Seth, Cindy, the kids and our family went back this past summer and camped for the weekend. Seth and I got to peel off and hike around and through Big Springs (boys camp). He said that he couldn’t remember many specifics but mostly just the overall good feelings of being there, back in ‘89. I suspect he couldn’t easily recall the events because he was often so presently in the moment.
